This weekend my family and I went down to old town. It is a mix of fun art galleries, boutiques and fun food experiences. Our whole reason for going was to see the Titanic immersive experience. I have been fascinated with the Titanic since 5th grade when I saw a documentary on it in school. We made it down there early so we went to the Modern Tiki for some drinks. It was a fun place and great drinks. But if your looking for a full blown tiki bar this is not it. The name sure lives up to what you get. Very modern decor, food selection wasn’t huge but decent, and the drinks were tiki themed and served in a tiki cup. We enjoyed the drinks and would go back. After some tiki fun we walked down to the exhibit and made our way in. I thought the exhibit was interesting and I liked that they had some interactive pieces to it. But I did feel like it was lacking. I also would have liked to see more of what it looks like now and some latest research on it. All they had was 2 pictures. We still had a good time and I did learn a few new things about the Titanic. After the exhibit we walked to the Sugar Bowl. If you have never been it is an old fashion ice cream parlor. This is where you can get old fashioned chocolate sodas. My youngest had never been and it was a hot day so we stopped in for a cold treat. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in old town.
